firefox can't make Ubuntu open .ram files w realplayer
First Firefox asked which file to open online .ram file (director to .rm realplayer files), but didn't list programs and wasn't sure where all executables were stored. Then said use VLC to open it from desktop shortcut- NOT. Doesn't work anyway, but messed up associations. But problem is now that's what default setting is, and I don't show any realplayer formats in the preferences/
Please don't say erase all associations- have no idea which players should open all those obscure files. How do I reset the assos for .ram + .rm to Realplayer11. Is there a plugin for any of the other players that will play realplayer?
--- On another issue Have terrible intermittent spastic screen flashing returning from suspend where I have to shut down everything and reboot. Tried editing that suspend pm file with all combos of quirks or quarks, and it sometimes works fine, other time gets hysterical. Seems to be a problem w evolution closing- it will flash on screen on shutdown (even when it's not open), and panel once in a while doesn't load either. These problems haven't been affected by 5 kernel upgrades. I hate not having suspend- it's so annoying I'm tempted to use Windows, so plz if you now any answer.
