Ubuntu 12.04 problems with mouse on websites and email accounts

I upgraded to 12.04 yesterday and restarted, logged in just fine and went to my hotmail email account and the mouse is very erratic when trying to "check" the boxes next to the list of emails. It will not check the boxes unless I continue to click on the box that checks all the boxes next to the emails many times.

Also, when going to a website to register for the website, example www.myhealth.va.gov, I can enter the information in the registration form, but when clicking on the "Submit" button, it comes back with an error or just doesn't do anything.

The above has happened also on other websites where trying to register my profile, such as; GE Money, Discover, American Airlines, etc.

I would appreciate any help you might provide.
