How do I get Java to work in Firefox

I want to play Pogo.com games in Firefox. I have java and can play them but no sound. What do I need to get sound to work?

lsb_release -a; uname -a; java -version

Probably you will need to install the latest flash player. I suggest you to install from Adobe.
