IE in Firefox

That plugin is designed for Firefox on windows, it requires that Internet Explorer is loaded on the machine to enable it to use IE components within Firefox. As there is not a native version of IE on Linux this wouldn't work.

It is possible to run IE on Ubuntu however using WINE - a program that implements enough of Windows to allow some native Windows apps work on Ubuntu. Specifically with WINE you can run internet explorer under Ubuntu and even the Windows version of Firefox. I guess if you installed WINE, then used the instructions on http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/Main_Page then installed Firefox for windows then installed the plugin you mention - it *might* work.

I have used the above site to install IE 5, 5.5 and 6 on Ubuntu Linux and it works well enough.

Hi Joe,

At the bottom of the page there should be a checkbox that you can check to close the request.

I still can't get it to work in the AMD64 bit version and I've stopped trying. I"ll wait until they fix the problem on their end.
