Clip Grab will not work and can't get the latest version

Ok, a few things really annoying me right now, but not until now. I have Clip Grab, a program that lets you download videos from youtube and other sources as well, fine and dandy. Well now the program is not working right. It keeps giving me this error 'socket operation timed out' and will not download the video. Another thing that is kind of annoying is that every time I open up 'Clip Grab' it takes me to the web sit and tells me I need to update my Clip Grab to a 3.2.0.5 version, in which case I open up my terminal, follow the direction on how to get updates and it is still not updated. Can someone please tell me how to get the latest version installed, or how to remove this package so I can get a different software. I really would appreciate it and Thank You.
