Firefox 10.0.2 missing audio video plugin when i try to see rai tv italian channels

Asked by gustav

I am running Ubuntu 10.04 with Firefox 10.0.2. As an example, I try to access the video on http://www.rainews24.rai.it
/it/canale-tv.php and I get "waiting for video" error message. If it is an audio web site, then I get "missing plug-in" error
message. I had Novell Moonlight but now it is incompatible with Firefox 10.0.2. Is that the problem?? Is there a work
around?? Thank you. -gustav521

Uninstall the packages listed there, you only want ONE plugin, you currently have 3

Hmmm, which should I hold on to?? Btw, I found this discussion re Silverlight/Moonlight:

  https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?t=1197&p=14300

I reinstalled Moonlight, and can now access sites like: http://www.rai.tv/dl/RaiTV/dirette

/PublishingBlock-233b8482-1cbc-4970-87d5-9d7604b26ddb.html?channel=RaiNews:

so I might be OK now. It was when Moonlight was disabled that I had the problems.

Thank you again! -gustav521
