trying to get Emusicj on ubuntu 11.10

i have downloaded the program but i may not have java installed. the website is so voluminous i cant find what i need, Im not sure exactly what i need.

is there a command line i can type to get the latest version to make the program work. i have run emusicj before on prevoius versions of ubuntu.
