Have you tried reinstalling it? I suggest you the "non-free" one.

Well so much for that one . . I clicked on the Get Adobe button Downloaded the new version in .RPM did the Sudo Alien ( file name here ) and it converted it to .DEB tried to install it got error bad conversion or some other reason failed to install . . Back to square 1 keep getting same thing . . Says Get Adobe on the screen even went to mozilla and added low flash to watch video on Fire fox . .

Why did you get the RPM, there is a DEB on the site. Not only that but the package in the software centre will installflash FOR YOU so you don't even need to visit the adobe website....

Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | egrep 'flash|gnash|swf|spark'

And we can advise.

I got it directly from Adobe it gives you 3 or 4 choices as what to download ( YUM, Tarball, RPM and last I forgot ) since converting RPM is simple I downloaded the .RPM and from root converted to .DEB !

You have too many plugins installed. This will cause a conflict and you will get nothing.

This will clean you up:

sudo apt-get --purge remove adobe-flash-properties-gtk adobe-flashplugin browser-plugin-gnash gnash gnash-common; sudo dpkg -P flashplugin-installer; sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin

Run that as ONE big command and it will remove ALL flash, then install only the Adobe flash plugin, you can now close all browsers and relaunch. It will most likely work..
