Can I fall back to version 3.6.23 from Firefox 9.0.1?

Asked by tadiv

Firefox 9.0.1 was a recent update that I implemented (as recommended) and I find it a very poor replacement for version 3.6.23. How can I fall back to that version (so that I don't have to wait for almost everything to happen)?

Thanks,
Tom

I have to agree that firefox version 4 onward are pretty crappy. by rolling back to version 3.xx.xx though, you'd be giving up on newer security features.

you can use synaptic package manager to get ver 3 back.

click package>force version, click on the force version thing and select ver 3, then click the force version button. next, you'll have to click package lock version to lock it so it doesn't get updated again.

Thanks, both of you - I'm leaning towards (very sadly) dumping FireFox in favor of Chrome...
