Like you can see here you haven't problem:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/firefox

Firefox is at the 3.6.24 version on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. You have to wait. Or you can just install the latest version available by the official PPA from Mozilla, if you want to do that, follow this step:
1. Open a terminal by hitting CTRL + ALT + T
2. Insert and run this commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firefox

3. Enjoy the latest version of Firefox (9.0.1)

If you want Thunderbird too:
In the terminal run:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/thunderbird-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install thunderbird

FF 9 is in the lucid-proposed repo if you want to go that route.

Thanks for the answers!
It looks like that the security problem with was fixed in 3.6.25 only affects to MAC. I was a little bit worried that i am surfing with an insecure browser.
