Loading and setting up scanners on Ubuntu Linux

we are unable to load HP Scanjet 2400 on Ubuntu Linux system in our PC.

Please help us.

Try install packages sane, sane-utils and libsane.

having a problem finding a driver for San Maker 5600 made by micrtek. Mictrotec does not have a Linux driver. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I have got bad news for you:

http://www.sane-project.org/unsupported/microtek-scanmaker-5600.html
There are some third-party drivers listed, but none is officially supported by Sane project. Good luck!
