It's fine and uses standard encryption as it does in any other OS. The security in your browser is all you need, just like it is all you need in Windows.

Remember that having a good password is key to being secure - do not use the same password for financial transactions as you would for say a forum. Also its not recommended to use public computers to login to your paypal accounts.

a lot of people have had their paypal accounts compromised by replying to scam emails asking the person to provide information or to confirm information about their paypal account. if you receive any such email, just delete them, no matter how tempting it is to reply or how legitimate it seems.

there was a controvery about paypal and such scams a decade ago. i don't remember the specifics, but paypal said something about their security being adequate and they're not responsible for people giving out information about their accounts and getting scammed.

i soppose for piece of mind i want to try a free anti virus witch is the most compatable for ubuntu and with one fixes the most problems and i dont even know where the security section onn ubuntu is onwindows i found the security and anti virus difficult to master is there a web site i could use to figure it out

also im trying to down load a music utility but i keep on getting in the archive manager error massage what am i doing roung or whitch site can i get free downloads and maybe small videos i want to start a sort of personel library of my music and videos

i used real player and the media player on the old windows os and bear share .hope you can help im a bit new to computers but i think ubuntu is miles easyer than windows but im still new to it all
