Firefox läuft trotz Schließen

Ich benutze UBUNTU 10.4 LTS .
Seit ca. 14 Tagen existiert das Problem, dass ich Firefox scließe und bei erneutem Start des FIREFOX angezeigt wird, dass dieser noch läuft. Bei "Ressuorcen" wird mir dann angezeigt, dass der "PLUGIN CONTAINER" angehalten hat. Dieser muß dann manuell geschlossen werden,danach läßt sich auch FIREFOX wieder starten.

Iḿ using UBUNTU 10.4 LTS. The Problem is, that after closing FIREFOX and restarting it a little bit later there is a notice, that FIREFOX ist already running. Looking to "Resources" , the "PLUGIN Container" is holdon. After closing it manualy FIREFOX restatrs without problems.

Das Problem kenne ich auch von meinen alten Zeiten mit Windows. Da musste man nur irgendeine .lock Datei löschen, oder CHKDSK ausführen.. Doch wie es bei Ubuntu läuft, kann ich leider nicht sagen.

Issue may occur while running Firefox during version updates or a session wasn't terminated correctly.
Please open a terminal: ctrl+alt+t
Enter:
killall firefox

While running Firefox there is a lock file in user profile, after closing it's actually deleted automatically.
