[firefox-stable ppa] Publishing has been disabled for this archive

Asked by Robbert Korving

Hi,

The PPA on https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/firefox-stable has a message: Publishing has been disabled for this archive.

Firefox 8.0 was released a couple of days ago and I really want to update through the PPA.

When I view the the package details https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/firefox-stable/+packages I see that the 8.0 versions were build but not published.

When will they be published?

After updating the repository sources it still installs the 7 branch (7.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1~mfs1)

I don't think it's a local problem. My bet is that the problem is in the ppa.

1st there is a warning that Publishing has been disabled for this archive on the ppa main page https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/firefox-stable/

2nd on the packages view page https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/firefox-stable/+packages, the 7 builds have a green tick with the title "all builts were built successful", while the 8 builds have another icon and the title "All builds were built successfully but have not yet been published"

My guess is that when publishing is enabled again on the ppa the update will roll out on my local machine.
