Text and graphics lag/cut and overlap when scrolling

Asked by ChoLi

When I'm on any website in firefox that is bigger then my screen, when I scroll, the text and graphics get all messed up. Like the lines of text will get cut, repeated, and overlapped. But then as soon as I select another application, my firefox window goes back to normal.

I deleted my preferences and plugins folder, and I also reinstalled firefox. But the problem still persists.

And this doesn't happen in any other application, so I don't think its my video card.

Any suggestions?

7.10 or 7.04?
Try turning Compiz Off. System -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Visual Effects | none --or-- System-> Preferences-> Desktop Effects

But yeah it was my custom Desktop Effects that was doing it. Thanks for the help!
