Found my problem or a good part anyway.

Asked by Margaret Mackintosh

A couple days ago I joined Facebook in order to show a friend in the Caribbean some pictures. The computer screen started freezing big time - 4 to 5 minutes and then shut down. Finally came to the conclusion that Ubuntu was closing down to keep that web site from getting info off my laptop. I was really forced to believe this when I logged on awhile ago and my home page was completely different from what I had made it. A different icon for my wireless hook-up, a different color scheme and a shut down icon instead of my name with selections. Then when I went back on Facebook to try and cancel my account the screen immediately froze again and stayed that way. I could not even click on the shut off icon. Then by accident the mouse went to the left side of the screen and the panel popped out and my solitaire icon got clicked and out popped the game. I could actually play it, but when I went to shut the computer off I COULD NOT. So I manually held down the shut-off button till it went off. The screen has not froze once (I am happy to say) while typing this. So BEWARE OF FACEBOOK AND ANY OTHER WEB SITE LIKE IT.

Which browser(s) have you tried Facebook with?
What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a

The browser doesn't give any data about you to Facebook which you don't input. That would be illegal

Can you help with this problem?
