But!... I don't have or see a "Modify" menu (same versions of Ubuntu 7.10 and Firefox 2.0.0.11 as hudsonsteak). Nor can I find any menu entry "Modify" under any of the other Firefox standard menus: File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools or Help.

Need more help or clarification on this! TIA

Oops -- Never mind. Digging deeper, I found Preferences under the Edit menu --
apparently this is the "old" Tools | Options that we were looking for.

Wonder why they had to rename it... just to confuse us Windoze --> Linux newbies??? ;-)

i also think this is very stupid, i am using windows and linux equally, in windows its unter tools -> options, in linux its unter edit -> preferences. also this seems to vary some time, like when using different languages.
