color reversal in 11.05

Asked by tomkersey

I log in to facebook and almost everything looks normal on my news page but when i switch to my profile page all the colors on photos look like color negatives in kodachrome. when i switch back to my news page, colors are mostly (with some exceptions) normal. This happened only after upgrade to 11.04. How can I get my colors back to normal?

Since this thread was for UBUNTU Firefox, I thought people would know I was using Firefox. Silly me. But there you have it. I have not tried it as another user on this computer as I am the only user on this computer. Here is the output from uname -a.
Linux kersey-Presario-CQ61-Notebook-PC 2.6.38-12-generic #51-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 28 14:25:20 UTC 2011 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

I'll establish another user and give it a shot. Will post results. Thanks.

"Since this thread was for UBUNTU Firefox, I thought people would know I was using Firefox. Silly me."

Threads here get *initially* misclassified with great frequency, which is probably why actionparsnip asked.

The package that a Launchpad question is about is primarily useful in attracting the attention of people knowledgeable about it, rather than in providing specific information about the problem at hand.

"I have not tried it as another user on this computer as I am the only user on this computer."

Yes, that is a good way to proceed. When you have done this, please do let us know the results.

Please also try in a different web browser. There are actually problems that can affect more than one browser, and while I don't expect that this is one of them, the time it takes to try a different one is small compared to the time that would be wasted assuming the problem is Firefox-specific if it is not. You could try this in Chromium, for instance. To get Chromium, install the package called chromium-browser in the Software Center.

If you have not done so already, please also try left-clicking once somewhere on the page where there is no photo. Perhaps the entire page is getting selected, somehow.

Can you help with this problem?
