What is happening with my ubuntu,security threat or spam ?

While I am surfing(using firefox 4.0) about ubuntu 11.04 and its review from different sites, from a link I reached a site and this site minimised my firefox browser automatically and started scanning as windows(Inside the browser) , and found lots of viruses,and suggested to download me a .exe file. What happened? I an providing the link bellow

(1) That's a scam, it's not really scanning your computer, and there is almost certainly nothing to worry about.

(2) You should not attempt to run or otherwise use any untrusted .exe file, including the one here. Ubuntu is pretty well protected from that sort of thing, but since it can run Windows programs using Wine, you could potentially run Windows malware too.

(3) This is not any indication at all that there's something wrong with your system. If there *were* something wrong with your system, that would not increase the chance of you seeing something like this. Unless you have a specific, separate reason for thinking that there is something wrong with your system, you can safely assume that everything is fine.
