random evolution and firefox

Asked by corky383

I wouldn't have a lot of time for repairing my laptop and until now Ubuntu has been flawless. However recently the google search part of firefox does'nt work sometimes. Its just frozen although i can still use the address bar search facility.

Also recently, when I open evolution sometimes i cannot view my inbox? although I can view my other folders of which i have about 8 or 9. I suspect this is an issue with the storage folder for my inbox, but where would i find it?

Hi corky383,

Both issues probably are unrelated.

For the firefox one you should check your addons. For example, disable all the addons and enable one by one to see which one is causing the issue.

For the evolution problem, as I don't use evolution you'll have to wait for some one's else advice (it may be a good idea to split this question in to two different ones to get more visibility)

As you said, i disabled the latest Ubuntu Firefox Modification 0.6 and have a fully functioning browser again.
Hopefully someone knows what lies behind the evolution glitch.

Hi corky383,

You should mark this question as solved as at least the half of it is solved, and ask a new one about evolution linking it to evolution program. As I told you before it will increase the options of getting it answered.
