uploading videos into my youtube account

Asked by Ceci

I am still very happy to have left "the window" and opened the open source door... but running on Ubuntu I am facing all sort of problems on doing things :-(

Nowadays I have tried to upload a personal video in my you tube account; after the upload, if I click the link for the video, I can hear well but I see only a green screen. I have already unchecked the "enable hardware acceleration" as suggested somewhere else... it does not work. Moreover (sorry, but really nothing seem to work) I have downloaded Java to support larger videos upload and I am unable to run it in my pc :-( but this is surely something wrong I am doing!

Thanks for taking your time reading this and happy holidays,

Cecilia

Try the simple uploader.
Have you tried multiple browsers?

Did you install a proprietary driver for an Nvidia graphics card? If yes, go to System > Administration > Hardware Drivers and uninstall all drivers.

Oh, and before this go to the Software Center and check if Adobe Flash is installed: Just search for it and install it if there is no green check mark.

Can you help with this problem?
