cant see my profile picture and my friend's pictures on facebook

My profile picture and my friends pic cant be seen on facebook even if i change my account and privacy settings.I even thried to upload a new profile pic but still it can be seen in my profile. I have installed the add ons for ubuntu but i cant find Facebook icon so that I could untick block something something there.What should I do about it?

Hi Jane. I had lots of problems with Facebook in the "Firefox" web browser, I solved them all by installing the "Google Chrome" browser. Look under System - Administration - Synaptic Package Manager (Sorry, don't know how to do the arrows), search for "google-chrome-stable" and then install it.

Thanx Derek. Your advise worked. FYI..in the search instead of "google-chrome-stable" i clicked click the chromium browser instead..coz the later is not among the choices shown

some pictures show on f/b while others in the same message are totally black and some are just blank
