Is it happening in any particular site ? or commonly wherever flash plugin has to be used.
As per "actionparsnip" answer it should work by now if its flash plugin issue.
Which browser are you using ?

I'm using the latest Adobe, designed for Ubuntu9.01+,with a fresh install of Xubuntu. No music or video sites work correctly.Could I have the wrong version of Adobe? Could it be the XCFE desktop? My old Dell? Not sure, the Windows I erased worked fine, so I assume the hardware is adequate. I'm also having wireless connectivity issues and am wondering if this could be involved somehow....Thanks!

PS Using Firefox browser, latest version.

If this issue still persists , can you check with chrome browser to just confirm whether its firefox based issue.
