Bad quality pictures in firefox browser

I have Ubuntu 10.04. I noticed that quality of a pictures are not very good on facebook or other websites. is there something i could do to make them better?

There's a screen capture utility in Applications -> Accessories

Once you have the image file, upload it to picpaste.com and post the URL here.

I guess that if you open a photo you have in your computer, you see it with the same quality.
I think your video driver is running on 256 colors.

Can you open a Terminal (Applications - Accessories-> Terminal), type

lspci | grep VGA

and paste here the output?

just tried and opened pictures on my computer, it looks much better quality. please have a look

Try a different browser, like Chromium, just in case. Install it from software centre, its name is chromium-browser, not the other one.
