Ubuntu cursor will freeze up when firefox opened

Asked by Brian Fuller

Binary package hint: firefox

This started with latest Ubuntu upgrade (#43 Ubuntu SMP Thu SEP 16 14:58:24 UTC 2010). Firefox would freeze the cursor and I would have to reboot. Then it would occur again. Reboot and try again.

I did get this session to work which allowed me to file this bug report

I am using the above release of Ubuntu with the associated Firefox version (3.6.10 Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0).

Try the mozilla ppa, it may help. Also log a bug

This problem has not happened since I sent in the bug report. Might it have been a transient bug, that has corrected itself?

Can you help with this problem?
