Seems its a windows only app. All I can find is people running it in a virtualbox which will involve a windows license and the bloat of running a windows OS inside Ubuntu.

You might try installing the VLC (videolan) player and checking the "mozilla plugin" during install. VLC plays streaming video. The Synaptic Package Manager has a old version (1.0.6). You can do a search on this site to locate the source for version 1.1.2.

The problem with streaming Netflix movies to Linux is the Microsoft DRM that is required. Nobody, that I am aware of, has a good direct solution for this yet. My solution was to use Playon software from Mediamall running on a PC to act as a proxy. Playon presents Netflix, Hulu, and other video streaming sites over the network as a UPNP/DLNA source. I described my solution in more detail on my blog at www.innate-ideas.net. It's not perfect but it worked for me.

Can you help with this problem?
