Ubuntu 10.04 + Picasa

Asked by M. London

After all steps of installing I cannot launch Picasa. I received the message "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (picasa) isn't associated with any program."

Please help.

Regards,
Michael

Thanks for reply. I followed Picasa guide, which I noticed that the guide is not complete. I finished with advice from http://www.liberiangeek.net/2010/07/install-google-picasa-ubuntu-10-04-lucid-lynx/

The guide does not show Firefox at all...?

Well, I downloaded Picasa from Google directly:
http://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/
as you can see there is Ubuntu 10.04 which comes with Firefox.
I know I am close to solve this puzzle. Maybe I have to somehow "sign" the "agreement" with Picasa?

After installing Picasa on my Ubuntu 10.04 I can use the program but I cannot upload pictures. Here is the error message:

"Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (picasa) isn't associated with any program."

How to make an association of Picasa with Firefox?

Thank you all for the help. I can upload pictures to Picasa using digiKam.
