Cannot get Java to run since last update.

Since the latest update last week I have been unable to get Java to run. It is contained in the Pkg Manager but it just will not activate on the websites I use it on. Any Ideas? For the last year and a half I had zero problems with updates, this last update really has done me in. Like 124023 I lost "A Web Browser" which I liked but am OK using the Dell launcher. I just need Java to run.

Remove the packages then install them again

I removed and re-installed and it still will not run.

I had the same problem with the Firefox update from the dell mini repository. I downloaded the latest version of Jre from Java.com and then followed the instructions given by Carl Pham on Question #119065 and the application I needed is now working. Hope this helps.
