Problem loading gmail page

Firefox displays the following for gmail.
"The page isn't redirecting properly.
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."
Cookies were inadvertently blocked. How can this be unblocked in ubuntu 10.04?

i suggest you to use google chrome. there are quite lots of problem when using firefox. hope this help to resolve all the problems

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a second PC identical setup that can access that site. I would still like to know how to unblock a site as that option isn't in tools or preferences.

If you use a new profile in firefox, does it work. Your current profile may be at fault

+1 for...well...anything but firefox, it's nasty

Yes, changing users in Ubuntu lets me load that site. I want to unblock it in my original users login in Ubuntu to accept cookies.

Ok then its a profile issue. If you rename ~/.mozilla can you access the web ok. This will give you vanilla settings but should be ok.

Referring to my original post, when I try to open my gmail page, that message is displayed. I have no problem surfing the web. I unintentionally blocked that page from posting cookies. All I wanted to know, is there a way to unblock it? I'm not sure what you mean by renaming ~/.mozilla. Perhaps you could elaborate. Thanks

After many hours of searching and reading the solution to my problem was rather simple.
In Firefox 3.6.8 in the Preference/Privacy menu you have to change the Firefox will: to "Use custom settings for history" and there is "Accept cookies from sites" Exceptions box. In it was my problem web site.
Problem resolved.
