Error Loading Firefox

When trying to launch Firefox I get this following message. This started to happen after downloading the latest updates which included an extension. I have Ubuntu 8.04.

Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///<email address hidden>/chrome/ubufox.jar!/content/startpage.html.

try:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

See if that helps. You may want to run:

firefox -safe

and disable the extension
