Hi,
Several people seem to experience this as well:
bug #369231
bug #370314
bug #392439
bug #405513
You may find more precise info on Google if you know the version of firefox you are running.

i'm pretty sure I'm running FF3.5 once open it works ok, it the getting thingas to open, some local stored pages just won't takes about 90 seconds to open web pages online, way slower than it was.
Where on google do i find the info?

still a little buggy but better there seems to be some disconnect in the repositories?
here's what I did so far(after adding the mozilla third party repository):
millius@millius:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam
[sudo] password for millius:
Executing: gpg --ignore-
gpg: requesting key CE49EC21 from hkp server keyserver.
gpg: key CE49EC21: public key "Launchpad PPA for Mozilla Team" imported

millius@millius:~$ sudo aptitude update

Firefox - since version 3 - is using some small databases (for the techies, they use sqlight engine) to store preferences, bookmarks, etc.
Those databases can get "fragmented" (sort of) and some optimisations are necessary. This can greatly improve Firefox start-up time.
You can find here a small script to run that will optimise Firefox databases:
http://
I hope this might help starting faster your Firefox.
Can you help with this problem?
Provide an answer of your own, or ask Patrick M for more information if necessary.
