Since you've eliminated what was apparently an necessary condition for the problem and, in your present configuration, can no longer perform testing or furnish information necessary to make this bug report ready for a developer to work on, and there is no one else who has indicated they are affected by this particular bug, I am marking this bug Invalid. If you wish to put back pulseaudio and work on this bug further, then please feel free to change its status back to Incomplete (if not all the requested information has been provided) or New (if you are also providing all the requested information). However, I very fully understand that you probably don't want to do so, since it would render your Ubuntu system poorly functional.
