so that i dont have to install it globally from synaptic?
and so that i can have it in windows too?

Couldn't find an xpi.
The 'homepage' seems to be dead link, at least from here.

Alternative exists an addon from 'ubuntuusers' which integrates lots of links refering to Ubuntu, Launchpad and others.
