streaming video media

Asked by Derrick

Using the Ubuntu 9.10, I am unable to successfully stream any video media. Sound is great, however if the video does play I get only a small rectangular portion of the screen to play. The Gnome flash player has been installed as likewise the Adobe flash as well. I am also using the Firefox web browser.

Derrick it sounds like a conflict with flash, Run this in the terminal:

sudo apt-get remove swfdec-mozilla
sudo apt-get remove mozilla-plugin-gnash
sudo apt-get remove adobe-flashplugin
sudo apt-get remove flashplugin-nonfree
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

Can you help with this problem?
