Why does took 90 secconds to open a site

Are you sure this isn't a problem with your internet connection in general? Can you reproduce this on another computer that doesn't have ubuntu?

what is the site name? are you sure that the site is up? and what is the result you are getting on a speedtest?

Just home from my work, I opened http://www.nu.nl and takes at this moment about 45 seconds, i have also anolder pc (pentium 3) en the site appears in less then 10 seconds
