when i minimise a page it just dissapears why?

When I click the minimise button at the top of the page,
 it use to go down to a bar at the bottom so as you could
just click on it and it would return but now it doesn't
When I click the minimise now the page just disappears.

You need to restore the "Window list" applet into your toolbar:
- right click on a clear area of the bottom panel and select
+ Add to panel

Add the "Window list" applet
