Not able to access forward and backward.

I cannot access forward and backward in firefox 3.5 package in ubuntu.

My guess is that the left and right arrow buttons are missing from the bar. Try right-mouse on the bar where they should be and choose "Customize". Scroll through the list and see if you spot them. If so, drag them to the bar and slide them to the left. Then close the "Customize" applet.

If the buttons are on the bar and are not working, I don't know what to tell you. (broken Firefox?)

You can also hold ALT and use LEFT and RIGHT cursor, saves having to move mouse to the buttons in the top left. You can also install software to use mouse gestures to trigger evvents
