how upgrade & install web browser firefox

I am trying to get into a browser in order to take a test but it's telling unable to load, in need of an upgrade or must have explorer, i have forefox version 3.5 but it's still unable to load the window.

Try opening System>Administration>Synaptic, and type into the search bar: firefox. You will find there the newest version of firefox, mark it, and apply.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade

This will gie you the option for 3.6.6 by running:

sudo apt-get install firefox-3.6
