my xdosemu seems corrupted. How do I fix or reinstall?

xdosemu seems to freeze when running a graphics enabled dos program. Can I re-install without affecting other programs and, if so, how?

sudo aptitude reinstall xdosemu

Should not affect any other programs. Let me know if you have problems.
