In Firefox -- Edit menu then Preferences, on the General tab there is a box for "Home Page"

If you are using firefox then browse to the following location

Edit--->Preferences--->General and then change your homepage address to www.whatever.com

 an easy way is open firefox on the upper right side the little windows that says yahoo click the arrow to get the drop down list , make your choice , then click the little eye glass icon . then if you want you can set it in edit -preference
