Click on Tools > Clear Recent History, a window will pop up with several options of items you can delete, ie cookies, cache. You can also select what time frame you want to delete, from the last hour, or day or everything.

open firefox -then edit - preference - privacy - history firefox will : set the history to clean up the way you want. i use custom setting .works well for me.

now to help clean your system go to software center -system tools and get bleachbit . then you can just pick what you want to clean. works good .

Can you help with this problem?
