Have you installed the flash plugin from the Ubuntu repositories or directly from Adobe? Have you tried reinstalling the plugin using the following command in a terminal: sudo apt-get install --reinstall <package name>.

What exactly happens when you try to watch a youtube video, does a warning or other window pop up suggesting for you to install something?

install downloadhelper a flash plugin for firefox it will download to a specific location and for playing you need to install flash plugin....install it through synaptic package manager...type flash in the search box...tick the appropriate box...shockwave flash or adobe flash then apply.... that should fix the problem

Can you help with this problem?
