acidbase fails to update and under tools in firefox the update button is grayed out.

Ubuntu 9.04 - the Jaunty Jackalope - released in April 2009.

acidbase has one issue and Jaunty another where it fails to pull from the cd its requested update.

Firefox is updated through the Package management system in Ubuntu. I'm not sure what your issue with acidbase is. Can you please be more specific?
