Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I did system>preferences>startup applications. There is no mention of "nautilus".

There is a bug in Nautilus (as documented in this Debian bug report http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=532799). However, the Debian bug report appears to say (from messages #30, #35, #40 & #45) that it will only be rectified by removing the "5,RestartCommand=nautilus" line from .gnome2/session. However, I have no .gnome2/session file. Catch22!

ProblemType: Bug

 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: firefox-3.0
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-15-generic i686

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs .

If you check in:

system -> admin -> startup applications

make sure it is not listed there (it will be named Nautilus)

Also if you click the options tab and uncheck "Automatically remember running applications when logging out" and reboot then you should be ok.

actionparsnip,

I'd already actioned the points in your answer: they made no difference.

looks innocent enough. If no one helps then I'd log a bug. Those are the only places I can think of for startup apps

Can you help with this problem?
