not enough memory to install updates

 When surfing in Firefox Bookmarks will not open new folder what is the cause of this problem ?

When I installed Ubuntu from the disk i created I accepted the Ram partition provided and it is too small ram for Ubuntu. how can I change the partition allocation to increase the ram available for Ubuntu?

You can do it with your Live Cd or download Gparted live CD (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/) and shrink partition next to swap partition and on that unallocated space resize yout swap to size you want.
