Add to your source list this line

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner

save and close.

sudo apt-get update

In synaptic find adobe-flashplugin and install it.

Gnash and swfdec-gnome work well together but clash with adobe. I would install just the adobe one as that seems to work best at the moment.

Also it might be worth working through each line in this guide
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu
to sort out all the rest of your multimedia too. I tend to use proprietary (non-free) components as they haven't cost me anything yet. Hopefully one day i will be able to go completely OpenSource.

Good luck and regards from
