Why doesn't firefox has these icons enabled as Default settings?

When Firefox started at first, it was the tabbed browsing concept that was its unique feature that gave it an edge over preference for IE. Now, till date, no steps have been taken to ADD the "New Tab" icon near the HOMEPAGE icon as default!!! & also the much important "Downloads" icon.
We have got to do it ourselves every time by opening the "Customize" setting for the toolbars...!!!

I would like to have another GREAT addition to firefox's personalisation technique by doing it in Xmarks style... Not just the bookmarks synchronising or passwords synchronising, but also ALL the features like installed themes, add-ons, preferences, add-on preferences, search engines in address bar's search bar!, etc, etc... and this could be done by firefox itself and the users will be delighted if they can enjoy such a time saving technique,,,!!!

In the 1st Paragraph I meant about doing the same procedures every time we install a fresh MoFirefox in every system...
A lot of people don't know how to do this... So they might end up not knowing it at all...

To put it this way, the subject is something to argue about.
The meta philosphy is about freedom of choice, community (assistance) and contribution.

#You need to reason why default should be prefered over customizing, if millions of users are individually to be satisfied.
#The effort is in question to add some symbols on a toolbar or typing ctrl+

Not to mention the large number of sync tools or simple copy of profile.

btw. for me it wouldn't be time saving if I had to remove lots of 'defaults'.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's very exciting to be parrt of this great project but there are always going to be many differences of opinion. What's great is that we all work it out together. Please track down and post your idea in the "brainstorming" section
