Why when I watch a streamvideo and open another tab with a flash website the video goes grey or the page goes grey?

I run ubuntu 8.10 and have nvdiia 177.82 all propitiatory drives are installed.

try disabling the driver and re-run this case and see, if not a driver problem try reinstalling flash

The window turning grey means the program is (temporarily) not responding.
It happened all the time on my Wife´s Acer Aspire One SSD.

You CAN turn off the grey-out feature, but after a couple of days my wife wanted it back because it stopped her from pointlessly clicking away in an unresponsive program.
