firefox-3.0 package

browsers don't work

Hello

I have Ubuntu 8.04 so far worked fine today Firefox 3 won't open . Epiphany opens but as I start to type in search engine box
it shuts downs , as well as if I click to open gmail account.

Please help!

first take a backup of your .mozilla located in your home directory, second erase this directory and start firefox, if it is still not opening try opening firefox from terminal, open termina then type firefox , paste here the foreground messages you got, about epiphany i don't know what is the problem but maybe the whole problem is not related to your web browsers but your system.
