Check for Updates

Although there is 3.0.7 version is available, the "Check for Updates" on my FF 3.0.5 still seems grayed out. What should I do?

That's because Ubuntu uses an Ubuntu build for Firefox and does not use the standard Firefox which you can download from the Firefox website.

Solutions are:
- don't update
- install the next version of Ubuntu which ships with the (at that point) latest stable version of Firefox
- install Firefox yourself from the Firefox website which should then allow you to upgrade the normal way.
